We'll be at TCAF!

We'll be at TCAF!

That's right, our first time at TCAF! I'll be manning both the NBM Graphic Novels table AND the Birdcage Bottom Books tables (#137 & #138). We'll be bringing mostly books, but if there's a minicomic or a specific title you'd like, please let us know.

We'll be debuting STEADY ROLLIN' by Fred Noland (who will be joining us to sketch and sign books), THE COLA POP CREEMEES by Desmond Reed, and the final two issues of FLOP SWEAT, Lance Ward's memoir comics series.

2022 Eisner Award nomination!

2022 Eisner Award nomination!

We're absolutely thrilled for Michael Kamison & Steven Arnold. Their comic "I Wanna Be A Slob" in our TOO TOUGH TO DIE punk-themed anthology has been nominated for an Eisner Award (basically the Oscars of comics) in the category of "Best Short Story".

We would love to see it win, so please read it here if you haven't and then go vote here if you're eligible.

We'd also recommend checking out their other comics and voting for friends of BBB nominees:

  • Nate Powell (John Lewis memoir) Run: Book One (Best Graphic Memoir)
  • Nate Powell Save It For Later: Promises, Parenthood, and The Urgency of Protest (Best Graphic Memoir)
  • Brian Canini The Columbus Scribbler (Best Comics-Related Periodical/Journalism)
  • Alec Longstreth Isle of Elsi (Best Webcomic)
  • Dave Baker & Nicole Goux Everyone Is Tulip (Best Digital Comic)

Also, we'd be remiss to not mention our Eisner-nominated graphic memoir from last year, Thomas Lampion's The Burning Hotels!

See you at MoCCA Fest 2022!

We'll be debuting lots of new comics at table A121 at MoCCA Fest's new location this weekend (April 2 & 3), so please come say hello!

Metropolitan Pavilion at 125 West 18th Street (between 6th & 7th avenues). 11 - 7 pm on Saturday, 11-6 pm on Sunday.

We'll be debuting these new comics:

Plus lots of comics released during the pandemic, so they haven't had proper convention debuts. Come give 'em so love!

We're excited to be sharing a table with uber-talented cartoonist Ingrid Rios and within spitting distance of future BBB artist Gideon Kendall (he's at table 120 with Doug Latino)!
